Otis enjoyed watching many different sports and was a longtime fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Otis was a proud father who enjoyed visiting with his children and grandchildren. He was later employed by North Texas State Hospital and retired in 2021. Earline is preceded in death by her Parents, L. J.
Sonny accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior and was a member of New Haven Baptist Church where he became a Deacon of the church and served on the brotherhood under the direction of Rev. She was preceded in death by her parents PJ and Beatrice Armstrong; her loving husband of 63 years Rev. Simpson E. Rentz; and her sisters, Geraldine Mims, Dorothy Williams, and Ruby Flenoy. Margaree passed peacefully from this life and into the gates of Heaven, at the age of 98, on November 9th, 2022 with her son and daughter by her side. She later transitioned into the banking and financial industry where she broke barriers and was the first African-American bank teller in Wichita Falls at the Old City National Bank. This was historic because the city was still segregated at the time. She helped many people in the community with financial literacy and planning. Some of her community activities were Girl Scout Leader of the Eastside Branch, chartered member of the Evelyn V. Polk Social Club, and Progressive Club member.

LEE "SONNY" ANDREW LEAK
As our community is taking steps to deal with the coronavirus (COVID-19) and as a critical service provider, we have prepared information to help you through this process. Powell Burns was born July 5, 1933 in New York, NY to Mitchell and Edna Burns. Marion was always willing to lend a hand and assist in the care of the patient and staff alike. He was well respected by his peers and will be truly missed. I am so sorry for his loss to his surviving family. Otis is preceded in death by his parents, John and Christine Taylor, brothers Lois Briley Jr, Geane Jackson, and Carl Taylor.
Willie loved playing the guitar and reading his daily devotional. Willie was a very hard worker throughout his life. He was a sandblaster for many years and was employed by Work Services in Wichita Falls.

Margaree was known for her elegance, grace, and a smile that brightened every room. Her inner beauty radiated as brightly as her outer beauty and to know her was to love her. She loved cooking for family and friends and no one could outdo her famous banana pudding. She also loved flowers, gardening, and enjoying God’s beautiful nature. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family and creating fond memories at annual family reunions back home in Louisiana.
Wichita Falls, long time neighbor, Sylvia Wallace and Family; Special Friends, Essie McKinney, Lynn and Carr Staley; host of other relatives within the Stevenson and Pope Families and numerous other friends. Survivors are his wife, Dorothy Burns; son, Powell Burns, Kevin Burns, Steven and Jacson Burns; seven grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister, Ella Burns; other relatives and friends; special care givers Barbara Cameron and Linda Abernathy. Marlon Watts ; 19 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 12 great great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, coworkers, friends and his beloved dog, Sparkle.
She met and married the love of her life Lloyd Stevenson, Jr. (59 yrs.) and to this union one child was born, Craig DeWayne. Earline W. Stevenson was born October 3, 1945, in Wichita Falls, TX to L. Earline departed this life on November 27, 2022. Willie was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of God in Wichita Falls. He was a very Godly man who never met a stranger.

At an early age, Margaree accepted Christ and joined Spring Hill Baptist Church in Downsville, Louisiana. She completed her early education and then obtained her bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from Grambling State University. She married the love of her life Simpson Edward Rentz in August of 1948. They later moved to Wichita Falls, TX and had two children, Gwendolyn and Prentice. They were devoted members of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Margaree was active as a Sunday School teacher, Youth Choir Sponsor, Women’s Missionary, choir member, and Baptist Training Union.
She and her husband, Rev. Rentz, later started Greater Zion Baptist Church where she was a faithful first lady and served in many capacities in the church. After her husband went on to glory, Margaree returned home to Mt. Pleasant where she was an active member until she gained her wings. Lee Andrew Leak was born February 21, 1937, in Wichita Falls, TX to Elder Leroy Leak a.k.a. and Mary Leak.
